Barchy is a small, quiet touring caravan and camping site, offering touring and camping pitches for caravans tents and motorhomes. It lies in a secluded and sheltered vale, with wooded hills tumbling down to the rear and wide open views across the Dwyryd estuary to the front.
Situated in the Snowdonia National Park between the sea and the mountains, Barchy is the ideal base for visiting a wide variety of attractions. The lovely little seaside town of Harlech, with its castle and miles of golden sand is but a short distance away and the famous village of Portmeirion lies just across the estuary. The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, always popular with our guests, are a short car ride away at Porthmadog
Our caravan and motorhome park is the nearest site to Barmouth, Wales. With it being a premium park, it features all the modern amenities and accessible facilities you might need. It boasts sea views over Barmouth Beach and is an ideal base to explore the Welsh Coastal Path or Snowdonia National Park, which is just a short drive away.
Family farm location is in a most handy spot for getting to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Spacious pitches backing onto woodland a land a small river that’s prime territory for such classic country pursuits as skimming stones and poking out with little fishing nets in search of minnows. Away from the water edges guest are encouraged to take a walk to meet miniature donkeys.
Walk up an appetite for your eats with an 30-40 minute stroll along the country roads.
To some it’s famed for its historic steam trains and slate caverns; to others it’s a buzzing hive of outdoorsy activities. But whatever brings you to Blaenau Ffestiniog, it's a good bet to bag a berth at Quarry View Touring Park.
We are a small touring site set within a walled area of beautiful countryside. We are conveniently located between the Menai and Britannia Bridges on the mainland, and only a mile from the A55 expressway. We are approximately 9 miles from the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia and approximately 10 miles from the beaches. There is a 9 hole Golf course, Golf Range and fishing lake on site. We have also on site attractive, high standard, self contained holiday cottages which are well appointed and peacefully located. Rallies and large groups are welcome.
For water sports enthusiasts we have our very own private shingle beach with easy launching area for windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. If wild swimming is your thing, Llyn Tegid offers a tranquil, breath-taking mountain backdrop.
For those wishing to explore further afield, Glanllyn is centrally located on the border between North and Mid Wales, within easy reach to some of the major attractions of the area. Glanllyn is the perfect getaway a warm Welsh welcome awaits you.
Our location is ideally situated for mountain bikers and walkers, with the added benefit of all types of fishing on site, from fun for the kids to the serious coarse and fly fisherman, and also a wide array of outdoor activities in the surrounding environment of the Welsh hills. We are adjacent to one of the most popular mountain bike centres in the country (Coed Llandegla’s entrance is 100 yards from our gate). There is also an RSPB centre within the forest and walks around the reservoir – home to black grouse.
Stay with us camping at Llys-y-frân for a short break or holiday and enjoy the perfect getaway in this rural retreat located in central Pembrokeshire. Close enough to all the action in Tenby and St David’s, yet far enough to enjoy a peaceful break.
